Both teams came into today's match looking to build on positives from game 1 on a very hot day at Warwick Stadium. VVA's Jonathan Morley was again impressive, and good attacking play from Ben Abbott and Jake King contributed to the Vultures' performance. The Victorians posed a significant threat to the WA Hornets, who produced some spectacular volleyball to stay ahead in the match. Consistent and creative setting by Kable Monck allowed the Hornets to utilise a wide variety of offensive options, and after a courageous third set win by the Vultures a run of highlight-worthy plays by middle blocker Daniel Cohen helped WA seal the fourth set and the match.
